Job Title: Middle School Cheer Coach (Winter Season)
Reports To: Activity Director and School Administration
Job Summary: The Middle School Cheer Coach will lead the 7th and 8th grade cheerleading teams for the winter sports season, focusing on supporting middle school boys' and girls' basketball and wrestling events. The coach will provide guidance, skill development, and foster a positive and safe environment, promoting school spirit and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct cheerleading practices, emphasizing routines, stunts, and safety techniques.
Develop engaging game-day performances and sideline cheers for basketball and wrestling events.
Supervise cheerleaders during practices, games, and events, ensuring safety and discipline.
Promote teamwork, school spirit, and a positive attitude among student-athletes.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and volunteers to coordinate logistics and support events.
Maintain open and effective communication with students and parents.
Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and school policies during all activities.
Qualifications:
Experience in cheerleading as a coach, instructor, or participant (preferred).
Knowledge of cheer techniques, safety protocols, and team management.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
Availability for practices, games, and additional events as needed.
