As Newport County’s largest law firm, we’ve been serving Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts since 1989, and we’re looking for a full-time Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our Trusts & Estate Administration team.

What You’ll Do
You’ll play a vital role in helping families navigate estate matters with care and precision. Responsibilities include:
✅ Communicating with clients and beneficiaries with professionalism and empathy
✅ Drafting probate court filings, correspondence, deeds, and asset spreadsheets
✅ Requesting and reviewing account statements
✅ Preparing draft estate tax returns
✅ Notarizing documents
✅ Managing attorney calendars and tracking key deadlines
✅ Organizing and maintaining client files
Who You Are

A bachelor’s degree; a paralegal certificate or equivalent is preferred
Experience in trusts & estates law
A strong eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills
The ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay ahead of deadlines
Excellent math and computer skills (Word & Excel proficiency required)
Top-notch problem-solving, analytical, and proofreading skills
Familiarity with the probate process and judicial forms (training available if needed)
