Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at our dental clinic. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist in the management of dental supplies inventory, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
- Support prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and assisting with patient fittings.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Epic systems or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate patient records and compliance with protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
