As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will collaborate directly with our senior engineers, architects, consultants, sales team and Sayers staff to provide exceptional value to our clients. Your growth will depend on your ability to learn, assist, engage, contribute and provide the knowledge back to our clients, engineers and other key stake holders.

The future career path of this role will evolve into a Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Engineer and Architect that is customer facing.

Role Functions

• Vendor and Industry Certifications (potential for multiple per quarter)
• Extensive Vendor and Industry Research
• Lab Projects/Administration
• Technical writing – blogs, research, white papers, client communication
• Assisting senior level engineers and architects in Cybersecurity
• Assist in sales opportunities, engage with fortune 250 clients (when ready)
• Will focus on a subset of areas within Cybersecurity and become a technical subject matter expert (SME)
• Focus will be defensive security, knowledge in offensive security is a plus

Education And Qualifications

• Would desire at least two (2) years of general IT experience at a minimum
• IT experience in installation, configuration, analyzing, optimizing and troubleshooting
• Passion, knowledge, skills and abilities in information technology is a must
• Industry and major vendor certifications are expected
  
  

Location

• Chicago and surrounding suburbs
• Daily/Weekly on-site visits to facilities in Vernon Hills, Oakbrook, Rosemont, downtown Chicago and surrounding areas
• Limited travel outside the Chicagoland area expected
