Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Sales Associate, you will assist in maintaining the store's appearance, handling transactions, and promoting products to drive sales.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products accordingly.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively sell merchandise.
- Assist in restocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure an appealing store layout.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a high standard of customer service.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support during shifts.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to selling products and enhancing the customer experience.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $19.50 per hour
