Job Description
Saylor Consulting Group (SCG) has an opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Estimator with Water/Wastewater Experience to join our team to work on high profile, $20 million to $1 billion programs with various California water infrastructure agencies. The ideal candidate would be located in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 15 years of estimating experience on water and utility infrastructure projects. Prior experience working with agencies in California is a must.
Daily Duties
- Prepare accurate construction and project cost estimates from conceptual design through project close out.
- Excellent take off skills with OST, Bluebeam, Timberline, Revit or similar software.
- Proficient with Google suite and MS office
- Construction phase, change order, estimating and negotiation.
- Value engineering.
- Nurturing client relationships. Training and mentoring junior staff.
- Display great presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering and/or Construction Management or related field required.
- 15 years of related experience estimating heavy civil projects (water/wastewater treatment capital improvement projects, dams, pipelines, and so on) with values of $300 Million or more. 20 years of experience preferred.
- At least 5 of those 15 years of experience should include 5 years’ experience with treatment plants, collection system facilities including gravity sewers (including circular and irregular cross sections up to 109” diameter), interceptors, tunnels, outfall structures and pump station projects.
- Experience working as part of an integrated (City & Contractor) team to develop programmatic cost estimates for a program with multiple projects occurring over a period of time greater than 5 years.
- Experience using HCSS and InEight estimating software.
- Proficient in an estimating program such as Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, and owners.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and projects to ensure client satisfaction.
- Accredited CPE, P.Q.S., RICS, or AACE accreditation preferable.
