What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Saz's Hospitality Group?
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at Saz's Catering, located in the Walkers Point neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. We provide an exciting, high-volume kitchen that supports a wide variety of off-premise catering events and menu styles. The ideal candidate will take pride in serving as an ambassador for SHG brands, as well as our community. This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive wage based on experience, plus a bonus structure based on achieving established cost targets.
No two days will be the same for our Executive Chef, but the list below gives a general idea of the position's primary areas of focus. Exceptional organization, and a desire to lead and develop a team will be important parts of every day, along with providing unexpectedly, over-the-top amazing service.
Key Responsibilities of the Executive Chef
- Operate kitchen with an ownership-minded approach to menu development, operations, and team leadership
- Establish, observe and uphold the highest standards of culinary creativity, presentation, flavor, and quality
- Continually seek and develop ways to improve profitability, quality, and systems to foster continued growth
- Accept feedback and direction from Corporate Executive Chef and SHG leadership groups to pursue a unified course of action
- Foster a positive culture that adheres to SHG's mission, vision and core values
- Lead kitchen shift teams to ensure smooth and timely operations, preparation, and execution of events
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Execute and lead training plans for new and / or advancing employees
- Ensure all HACCP and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Manage and execute standard operating procedures to maintain the highest levels of quality and consistency
The Executive Chef will work an average of approximately 50-55 hours per week . As a leader within our organization, evening or weekend presence will be required.
