Overview :
We are seeking a Licensed Lead Architect to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background, leadership experience, and a passion for innovative design. You will be responsible for translating client needs and project requirements into innovative and functional architectural designs. This role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, interior designers, and clients to develop design concepts, produce drawings, and create presentations. The Lead Architect plays a crucial role in the design process from concept development through construction documentation.
Responsibilities :
1. Collaborate with project architects and clients to develop design concepts that address project goals, program requirements, and site conditions.
2. Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling tools to create digital representations of design concepts and produce renderings for client
3. Assist in space planning and layout design to optimize functionality, circulation, and spatial relationships within buildings and interior spaces.
4. Develop architectural details, material selections, and interior finishes to enhance the quality and aesthetics of design proposals.
5. Produce architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using industry-standard drafting software.
6. Prepare visual presentations, graphics, and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts and proposals to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
7. Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to integrate technical requirements, structural systems, and building codes ito design solutions.
8. Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining the highest quality of work.
9. Stay informed about emerging trends, materials, and technologies in architecture and design, and incorporate innovative ideas into design solutions.
10. Assist in the preparation of construction documentation including drawings, specifications, and schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
11. Review drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm standards and project guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Licensed Architect in Texas
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) as an architectural drafter, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion or similar.
- Strong design sensibility and creativity with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and materials.
- Minimum five years of previous experience in an architectural or design firm is preferred.
- Portfolio demonstrating design skills, technical proficiency, and project experience.
