The Relationship Banking Specialist II serves as a subject-matter-expert and is primarily responsible for providing superior service virtually and in-person while enthusiastically, accurately, and efficiently meeting the diverse needs of our Banking clientele. This position facilitates consumer loans, sells deposit accounts and electronic banking services, processes various digital and in-person account transactions, and maintains service delivery channels.
Performance Dimensions
- Facilitates consumer lending application, underwriting, and approvals within signing authority limits.
- Establishes and expands client relationships by promoting and selling our full range of consumer and business depository accounts and services as permitted by SbCU policy and regulation.
- Serves as digital banking expert:
- establishes user access to various digital banking platforms.
- sells, and promotes the usage of digital banking products and services to prospective, new, and existing business and consumer clients who virtually contact or visit the location.
- provides expert advice and ongoing client education and navigational support following adoption of digital banking products and services.
- Responds to client requests and provides required assistance which may include, but is not limited to, the following: enabling digital banking users, updating client personal information or account information/ access, facilitating foreign transactions, originating stop payments or wires, and performing research.
- Processes various digital and in-person account transactions.
- Employs subject-matter-expertise to provide seamless problem resolution for client technical and service issues, gathering necessary information and providing timely virtual or in-person updates through completion.
- Provides consistently superior client service, confidently engaging clients using various communication channels to take ownership of the client experience, surpass their expectations, and meet their needs.
- Identifies inter-departmental cross-sell opportunities and refers existing clients and prospects to the appropriate department for follow up.
- Performs daily departmental tasks, account and system maintenance, and project-related assignments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of retail banking experience to include, cash handling, member service, supervisory and/ or sales experience; deep understanding of banking products, services, and technology
- Minimum of 2 years consumer lending experience facilitating applications, underwriting and approvals
- Proven ability to establish depository accounts including HSAs and IRAs
- Demonstrated understanding of deposit and consumer loan document preparation, online account opening, and teller platforms
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to evolving technologies and work conditions
- Proficient with MS Office products and general office equipment
