Her PLAN is a rapidly growing project of SBA Pro-Life America Education Fund that supports and grows the pro-life safety net so communities can better serve pregnant and parenting women who might otherwise resort to abortion. Her PLAN offers dedicated staff in 10 states helping communities support both mom and baby in difficult situations. Her PLAN resources include a directory that spans seven categories of charities, ministries and businesses that can help her; case management grants to pregnancy centers; and a guide to filling the gaps in care in communities.

These areas include recruitment and training, performance management programs, HR compliance, and employee support. The Human Resources Manager works with the SBA Human Resources Director and SBA Vice President of Administration to structure policies and procedures to ensure integration with SBA Pro-life America and adherence to SBA Pro-life America standards.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Her PLAN Executive Director.

Essential Functions
Leadership and Integration
- Serve on the Her PLAN Leadership Team.
- Maintain strong continuity between Her PLAN and SBA Human Resources.
- Collaborate with Her PLAN team leads to execute Her PLAN goals and strategy related to staffing, training, recruiting, and retention.
- Full-cycle recruitment management including preparation of job descriptions, position advertising, and applicant screening.
- Manage all recruiting-related platforms including job boards, applicant tracking system, and relevant interfaces with HRIS/payroll systems.
- Develop and lead onboarding and orientation programs for all new employees including job specific training in coordination with team leads.
- Serve as new employee “buddy” during their first week on the job.
- Coordinate ongoing training on all office systems such as Teams, Paylocity, HubSpot.
- Collaborate with Her PLAN team leads to deliver training for staff to build competencies and support professional development in their role.
- Plan and execute an annual week of training for State Coordinators in collaboration with the Program Director.
- Support all triannual team offsite logistics.
- Ensure all staff, and remote staff in particular, are aware of operational changes and expectations from Her PLAN and SBA management.
- Lead the performance management process and advise managers on performance management including appropriate corrective counseling, training and progressive discipline processes.
- Ensure position descriptions are properly documented and maintained for compensation benchmarking, accountability, and compliance.
- Ensure triannual reviews are conducted and documented.
- Manage offboarding and exit interviews.
- Manage annual compensation review and recommendations in conjunction with SBA Human Resources Director
- Review and prepare employee timesheets for bi-weekly payroll, including review of all changes to employee salary and deductions, review and approvals of all timesheets, and accurate recording of employee leave.
- Coordinate with Executive Director to develop efficient, automated processes to streamline employee life cycle stages including recruiting, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
- Manage and maintain all employee documentation for Her PLAN, including employee offers and records, performance & development plans, absences, length of service recognition, and disciplinary documentation.
- Support SBA Human Resources to ensure annual workers compensation, ACA, US Census, and Medicare filings are completed and filed.
- Administer health and other benefit programs in coordination with SBA Human Resources including managing short and long-term disability claims, family and medical leave, enrollment and changes to insurance.
- Counsel employees on compensation questions and issues.
- Handle personnel issues and concerns.
- Issue surveys and conduct staff interviews to assess employee satisfaction and organizational health and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Inventory and ship branded supplies and equipment to remote staff.
- Serve as a liaison between Her PLAN and SBA HQ.
- Handle travel and credit card expenses for select staff who do not have an organization-issued credit card of their own.
