As a Director of Operations, you will be responsible for:
Education: High School, College or University Degree Preferred
Experience: Good oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
5 years supervisory experience in either a food service (quick service preferred) or retail environment, including profit & Loss responsibility
Minimum 2 Years Multi-unit Experience
Knowledge of pizza making and Italian cuisine preparation are strong plus (not mandatory)
Administrative Skills (computer proficiency) and knowledge of Point of Sale systems preferred
Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills
Skills And Knowledge
- Effectively and efficiently manage a Sbarro region within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure customer satisfactions and profit maximization
- Controls day-to-day operations by including compliance with labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team
- Ensures OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
- Controls profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
- Recruits, interviews, and hires team members, conducts performance appraisals, takes discipline action, motivates and trains
- Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program
- Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
- Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs
