Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist Nuclear Technologist in daily duties including but not limited to :
- Patient preparation for test
- Placement of IV catheter
- Placement of 12 Lead EKG for needed procedures
- Assist patients on and off the camera’s as needed
- Retrieve patients from the main waiting room and places them in the appropriate staging area for testing.
- Inputs demographic information into INVIA as needed
- Assist nuclear department in any chart prep as needed
- Helps to maintain supplies in testing areas
- Assist with procedure tracking excel sheet as needed
- Works closely with Front Office staff to ensure that patients are received timely for their appointments
- Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the office.
- Communicates with other departments in the office effectively and respectfully
- Exhibits the ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting
- Demonstrates cardiac related knowledge and appropriately applies knowledge to patient care
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Independently completes assignments in a timely manner
Education and Qualifications
- Well-qualified MA or LPN (Certification may be pending)
