The Director of Procurement is responsible for overseeing sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain management of equipment, materials, and services critical to the business operations. The ideal candidate will drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, and ensure the procurement function aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to support company goals and operational efficiency.
- Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and relationship management to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring timely availability of HVAC systems, commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment, and related components.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, engineering, and logistics) to align procurement with business needs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and supplier performance.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and regulatory changes to inform procurement decisions.
- Develop and manage procurement policies, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Optimize vendor partnerships through strategic agreements and long-term sourcing strategies.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the HVAC, commercial kitchen equipment, or related industries.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of sourcing, supply chain logistics, and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
