Dynamic, growing electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial customers in the Southern, MA and surrounding states is seeking a proven Leader in the electrical contracting field. They are positioning for continued, significant growth and the selected candidate will help lead the company through its next chapters.
Position Summary
In this position you will oversee all aspects of operations (construction, service, automation, estimation, purchasing and safety). In addition, you will have full P&L ownership for multiple branches. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and significant experience in the commercial electrical contracting industry, managing all levels of employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of operations (construction, service, automation, estimation, purchasing and safety)
- Optimize job profitability and execution (estimation, pricing, contracting, scheduling, tracking, reforecasting, material cost controls, and labor productivity).
- Build a strong safety culture to minimize the potential for injuries on our job sites and at our facilities.
- Develop and implement plans to be the employer of choice in the region and increase the size of the field workforce.
- Build a high performing team and set clear goals for your direct reports.
- Train and develop the managers at multiple branches.
- Work with the business development team to develop new client relationships and expand existing customer relationships.
- Work with other leaders to develop budgets, monitor and track the financial performance, and participate in financial and operations reviews.
Position Requirements
- Strong leader with a track-record of leading teams to achieve results.
- Desire to play a key leadership role during a period of transition and rapid growth at the company, with a focus on growing the service base.
- 10 years operations leadership experience in the commercial electrical contracting industry.
- Technical knowledge gained through experience as an electrician, estimator, project manager, program manager, engineer, or operations manager.
- Previous experience leading teams of 50 or more people and a $40M company
- Previous experience in a P&L responsible role
- Design build as well as bid experience in the electrical field required
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Work, Excel, etc.).
