- Focus on timely, accurate and comprehensive month-end closing procedures.
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and control in financial processes, including cash receipt and payment processes as well as reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers to the trial balance.
- Maintain complete and organized financial records, including transactional details, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
- Responsible for inventory control, including implementing controls to manage cost sheets, inbound receipts, warehouse activity and units on-hand.
- Responsible for the collection of chargebacks from customers through research and documentation as well as implementing processes to reduce chargebacks.
- Ensure the completion of timely sales audit for e-commerce sales.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure financial statements comply with Generally Accepted Accounting
- Principles (GAAP) and provide relevant financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting for management.
- Manage and comply with federal, state and local government reporting requirements and non-income tax filings.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage the annual audit process.
- Establish and maintain strong business partnerships to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across departments.
- Work closely with FP&A to support the update of weekly cash flow and inventory forecasts as well as variance analyses.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, challenging assumptions to ensure validity and proactively seeking out opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Manage financial information from multiple systems and data sources.
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Automate and streamline processes and data flows to enable faster and more accurate analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- 7-10 years professional experience in accounting, including experience in consumer goods industry.
- CPA preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as ERP systems
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment serving multiple groups.

Salary : $200,000
