Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Strategy & Vendor Management
- Develop & Execute Strategy – Design and implement long-term strategies to optimize sourcing and vendor relationships, with a focus on diversifying production outside of China.
- Vendor Evaluation – Identify and assess international vendors for quality, reliability, and compliance, while overseeing the performance of the Hong Kong merchandising team.
- Operational Optimization – Evaluate supply chain gaps, create action plans for near- shoring, emerging markets, and category expansion.
- Cost Management – Conduct pre-costing negotiations and cost engineering exercises to maximize profitability while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Regulatory Compliance – Oversee all QA/QC activities, ensuring compliance with Prop 65, REACH, and global regulatory standards.
- Product Quality Control – Work with internal and external QA/QC teams to ensure factory adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Testing & Certification – Establish rigorous testing procedures and collaborate with Compliance teams to uphold required safety and social responsibility standards.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Oversee the Hong Kong Merchandising Team – Provide direction, mentorship, and strategic alignment for merchandisers managing supplier relationships.
- Performance Management – Set clear performance goals, conduct evaluations, and coach team members to foster a high-performance culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with internal teams, including Compliance, Sales, and Product Development, to align on supply chain initiatives.
- Establish KPIs to measure and optimize supply chain performance.
- Monitor vendor performance and report progress against objectives, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin (required).
- 10 years of experience in global supply chain management, sourcing, and logistics.
- Proven experience in vendor evaluation, contract management, and cost negotiations.
- Deep knowledge of compliance standards (Prop 65, REACH, social responsibility, ethical sourcing).
- Technical proficiency in operational systems (e.g., NetSuite, PLM platforms) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Familiarity with supply chain software or SaaS tools.
- Experience supporting a global sales team on merchandising, product development, and technical design.
- Background in industries such as packaging, consumer goods, or luxury products.
- Flexible hours may be required to manage urgent issues across global time zones.
- Occasional international travel to vendor locations, including Asia-based suppliers and alternative sourcing markets.
