- Responsible for payroll onboarding including proper state tax jurisdiction based on the employee’s work location.
- Enter payroll changes and keep organized payroll folders for audit purposes.
- Run payroll audit reports and process semi-monthly payroll.
- Run various payroll reports as requested.
- Register SIT and SUI/SDI and any other applicable state agency requirement. Update all SUI rates with payroll provider.
- Audit quarterly reports by state and annual reporting including W2 wages.
- Manage vacation time portal updates and all items related to the payroll system.
- Knowledge of implementing new payroll systems and portals
- Responsible for all Employee Verification requests.
- Responsible for upholding confidential payroll information of all employees.
- Responsible for enrolling new hires in all applicable company benefits timely.
- Update payroll deductions for new hires and any changes during the renewal period.
- Audit benefit invoices monthly to ensure benefit enrollments and payroll deductions are accurate.
- Responsible for the proper set up of Cafe 125 benefits in payroll and benefit vendors to payroll via file feed
- Manage state and federal benefit programs such as FMLA, PFL, SDI, Workers Comp and pay employees accurately if changes to their payroll applies.
- Responsible for upholding confidential personal benefits information of all employees
- Send Anti-Harassment trainings to all new hires and annually to comply with state requirements.
- Work alongside Sr. Director of HR on policy and employee relation documents such as Performance Improvement Plans and Severance Agreements.
- Work as a team member with multiple third-party vendors.
- Screen candidates based on the job description and their experience.
- Review resumes for assistant and coordinator level positions through the job boards.
- Must have a B.A or B.S from an accredited college or university.
- Must have five years’ experience in a combined coordinator/manager role.
- Be comfortable taking the initiative and following direction.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and within compliance/company standards.
- Expert level Microsoft Office experience. Excel specific.
- Experience in navigating various payroll providers such as ADP, Dayforce and Paylocity
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
