About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage knowledge of the insurance industry to identify challenges and recommend innovative, value-driven solutions.
- Write detailed, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and maintain process flows and supporting documentation.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum team activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage project workflows, track progress, and document requirements.
- Conduct process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and verify that deliverables meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze data to ensure integrity and support business decisions.
- Facilitate change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and solutions.
Qualifications
Business Analysis Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of insurance industry operations, processes, and terminology.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation using workshops, interviews, and process mapping.
- Strong skills in business process modeling and diagramming tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Ability to synthesize complex business needs into actionable solutions.
Testing Skills:
- Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Strong understanding of testing principles and best practices within the software development lifecycle.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for managing backlogs, documenting requirements, and tracking progress.
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle SQL, MSSQL), reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data migration projects.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with Product Owners, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry.
