Job Summary :

We are seeking a Director, Sourcing at SBM Life Science to handle the development and execution of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and risk management. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of supply chain management, supplier management, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving, sourcing initiatives that improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance. This role will be accountable for sourcing, contracting, and managing relationships for SBM Life Science materials and services while driving innovative solutions and cost savings.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required. Masters degree preferred
Minimum 7 years' experience in sourcing / procurement
Demonstrated experience in strategy development, vendor management, and risk management
Proficiency with timeline tracking and dashboard reporting to present information clearly and concisely
Proven track record in vendor negotiations and complex negotiations
Experience working with ERP / MRP systems

Skills / Abilities :

Excellent leadership and communication skills up to the executive level

Proven ability to communicate effectively and prioritize and escalate risks as needed

Ability to cross-collaborate and coordinate across multiple departments

Advanced level skills of Excel (pivot tables, vlook-ups, macros, etc.)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategy for all product lines, supporting business' growth, EBITDA, innovation, efficiency and sustainability ambitions.

Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.

Draft, revise, and execute Contracts and Statements of Work with suppliers, service providers, and customers.

Collaborate with all functions to implement and onboard new or revised Agreement scopes.

Develop strong partnerships with key vendors globally, developing innovative approaches to new product formats and cost agendas.

Collaborate with operations, marketing and R&D to develop a risk management strategy for product life cycles and formats with integration into forecasted budgets.

Support new brands innovation and core growth requirements, including close collaboration with R&D, Production, Packaging Engineering and Supply Planning

Lead procurement strategies across the business, working closely with function leads to managing contract negotiation, operating cost management, cross-functional cost management initiatives.

Lead RFQs for existing supply base to drive down Total Cost of Ownership across the supply base.

Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and global executive leaders.

Provide analysis on supplier performance, capabilities, and long-term strategy. Course correcting with suppliers as required.

Travel Requirements :

10-15% yearly domestic travel required.
