Job Summary :
As a Senior Procurement Specialist at SBM Life Science, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of packaging and raw material supply to our domestic manufacturing sites. Your main responsibilities include building relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, working with internal and external teams to reduce costs and maintaining inventory levels through weekly procurement activities are all part of the role. Purchasing categories include active ingredients, chemicals, corrugated shippers / materials, cartons, labels, etc. If you are seeking to join a great team and a role where you have a direct impact on business success this is the role for you!
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations management or related field
- 7 years of experience in sourcing and procurement in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience working with MRP / ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
Required Skillset :
Traveling Requirements :
This role requires occasional travel, about 10-15% yearly to support business needs. All travel is reimbursed according to our expense policy.
