SBM Management is looking for a EHS Manager to join their team! The EHS Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing organization safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position is almost exclusively focused on safety, with minimal oversight of health and environmental. Reporting to a single site in South Chicago.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with SBM’s safety program, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Conduct training for managers and employees in work site safety practices, company safety program policy, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, materials, equipment, and PPE.
- Inspect and audit the sites within the mid-Atlantic market for potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries and develop injury reduction plans to reduce incident frequency and severity.
- Lead the development of job safety analysis with line employee’s involvement and train applicable staff.
- Represent the organization in customer meetings as needed in your market.
- Maintain safety files and records.
- This position requires frequent travel within the mid-Atlantic market by car daily, minimal overnight stays required.
Qualifications :
Compensation : $80, - $85, per year
