Position at SBM Management
The Tax Manager is a key individual contributor and will be an essential part of a team supporting the entire accounting department. The position is responsible for ensuring adherence to all jurisdictional property tax and business license compliance functions. This will include understanding company needs and jurisdictional requirements. The role will also be accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and timely fling of returns and payments.
Responsibilities :
- File business registrations in state, county, or city jurisdictions that SBM operates
- Maintain business licenses in the various states, counties, and cities that SBM operates, including filing annual forms / returns
- Prepare annual county and city property tax declarations
- Analyze and update tax fixed asset ledger and reconciliations
- Gather tax information requested by outside CPAs for preparation of the annual income tax returns
- Analyze and audit tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data and tax corrective action when necessary
- Collaborate with and coordinate team members to assist with management of projects
- Oversee retrieval, validation, and reconciliation of audit data inputs
- Oversee documentation retrieval and organization to support tax audit defense
- Maintain appropriate archives (electronic) for copies of all returns, correspondence, and work papers
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications :
Compensation : $85, - $, per year
