Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction medicine, mental health treatment, and telehealth services. This role involves conducting virtual psychiatric evaluations, managing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.
- Diagnose and treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT for substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Provide ongoing patient support, including follow-up assessments and medication adjustments.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Stay up to date on best practices in addiction medicine and psychiatric care.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in the U.S. (multiple state licensure preferred).
- DEA certification with the ability to prescribe controlled substances.
- Experience in addiction medicine and/or psychiatric care required.
- Familiarity with MAT protocols (e.g., Suboxone, Vivitrol, naltrexone, etc.).
- Strong telehealth experience and proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
