Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Mental Health Therapist with an advanced license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and a strong background in working with individuals diagnosed with complex mental health conditions. This part-time position will focus on one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy to support clients in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Client Population:
Our clients present with a range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to:
- Schizophrenia
- Schizoaffective Disorder
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using DBT and other evidence-based approaches.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Support clients in crisis intervention, emotional regulation, and skill-building.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, and peer support specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mental health treatment.
- Extensive experience and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Strong understanding of severe mental health conditions and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation, psychosis, and co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and crisis intervention skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in residential or intensive outpatient treatment settings.
- Familiarity with additional therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.
- Previous experience conducting group therapy with high-acuity populations.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time, on-site
- Flexible schedule with some evening availability preferred.
- Pay: $30-$40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Salary : $30 - $40
