Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Tax Services Director to support our growth strategy and lead tax engagement teams on various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business development acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax engagement teams on various projects, handling all tax compliance and consulting issues for assigned clients.
- Keep clients abreast of technical tax changes affecting their industry, identify opportunities to cross-sell, and expand tax services.
- Assist with new business development, cultivate and maintain effective relationships with external contacts and audit counterparts.
- Mentor, train, and assist a strong group of senior and staff associates.
Requirements
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- A minimum of 7 years public accounting experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and advising companies on their tax strategy.
- Previous Big 4/National or Regional firm experience preferred.
- Proven success training, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Strong desire to deliver outstanding client service.
- Excellent research, writing, interpersonal, and business development skills.
- Aptitude and desire to make Partner and grow our Tax Services Practice.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual base salary for this position is $160,000-$225,000, depending on qualifications and experience. As a 100% employee-owned firm, SC&H Group offers real equity ownership for every colleague with at least 1 year of service.
