SC&H’s Business Valuation Practice is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Valuation Leader to drive our valuation practice, delivering high-quality financial insights and strategic recommendations to clients. This leader will be responsible for managing and executing complex business valuation engagements across various industries while mentoring a team of valuation professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage business valuation engagements for a diverse set of clients in multiple industries.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and asset-based approaches.
- Develop detailed financial models and valuation reports in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASC 805, ASC 350, IRC 409A, Fair Value Measurement).
- Advise clients on valuation methodologies, financial projections, and business drivers to enhance decision-making.
- Oversee client relationships and provide strategic insights tailored to business objectives.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and valuation best practices to enhance the firm’s valuation capabilities.
- Mentor and develop junior valuation professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in business valuation, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, ASA, ABV, or CVA strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue generation via new clients.
- Deep expertise in valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and financial statement analysis.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with a track record of client engagement and leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.

Salary & Benefits
The expected annual base salary for this position is $225,000-$275,000. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations. In addition, you’ll be rewarded for your contributions to our success through a generous performance-based bonus plan.
