A technician will be responsible for day-to-day operational activities and responsible for ensuring efficient operation in a fast paced highly automated technical manufacturing environment. Our primary goal is to work safely towards the reduction of downtime and improving our efficiency and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The position reports to the Production Manager and is primarily accountable for :
- Ownership for self and team safety
- Monitor and maintain process and product quality
- Quality testing on finished product to meet product specifications
- Work to maximize uptime and reduce scrap
- Identification of wastes and elimination of losses
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store products in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe manner.
- Maintain inventory records and assist in regular stock audits.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of process / equipment / component issues
- Application of root cause problem solving methods and practices
- Successful operation of multiple technologies of a single line
- Development of and Compliance to Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures
- Support Plant audits : GMP, SQA, ISO, SEA, Housekeeping, Centerlining, etc.
- Understanding and consistent application of Lean Principles, ie : Performance Management, Centerlining, CIL, QCO, 5S, Loss Teams, Kaizens, etc.
