Position Summary:
We are wanting to add a full-time Sampler who currently resides in the Humboldt County region.
The driving route for this position will cover Eureka / Arcata / Garberville / Shasta Lake regions.
Must be comfortable spending many hours driving. Must be comfortable working around cannabis/hemp products, and will be responsible for gathering and transporting samples and relevant documentation safely and securely to begin the testing process at the lab.
Preference given to applicants who have previous cannabis/hemp testing, sampler, and/ or lab experience.
All applicants selected for an interview will need to provide a current DMV printout at the time of the interview, showing a clean driving record of at least the past 6 years.
Schedule: This will be a full-time non-exempt position.Typical schedule is 10:00am - 6:30pm, but can vary depending on client demand on any given day. Exact schedule to be determined by the hiring manager.
Pay Rate: The hourly pay rate for this full-time non-exempt position is $20.00.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years of age (required for all driving positions).
- A minimum of 1-year previous experience in a delivery driver/courier position.
- Prior experience and ability shown to follow a scheduled route.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Full use of upper and lower extremities to drive a company vehicle for extended periods of time daily.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely transport samples to the laboratory.
- Will have access to a company vehicle equipped for sample transportation.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety behaviors.
- Promote a professional company image through exemplary customer relationship skills.
- Strive to maximize route efficiency.
- Read the daily schedule to resupply a region's sample containers.
- Preserve samples during transportation per relevant procedure.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedure.
- From time to time can also be responsible for working inside the lab, assisting with sample intake processing, and various other sample preparations for testing, as assigned by lab management.
- Support laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, etc.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Lab Management.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of full-time experience working in a real-world work environment, experience working in an operational lab or similar environment is desired.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and be an effective communicator, work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education: Two (2) years of college education (preferably in a scientific discipline) OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of previous work experience.
