JOB DESCRIPTION
SC Pain & Spine Specialists, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our interventional pain management practice serving Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. Five offices from Little River to Georgetown provide convenient locations for patients along the Grand Strand and beyond. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and possesses great time-management skills, a wonderful bedside manner and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. The Physician Assistant will perform your licensed and professional duties as required by all staff physicians and executive management including but not limited, to:
- Assessing patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determining abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
- Documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Performing therapeutic procedures; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
- Instructing and counselling patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Providing continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
- Complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
You will be expected to work Monday through Friday, in any of SC Pain & Spine Specialists, LLC locations. No weekends. No call. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Physician Assistant or Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Unrestricted license to practice as a PA or APRN/NP in the State of South Carolina.
Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Prescriptive authority as appropriate.
Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
