Your day to day as a Training Resource Specialist

As a Full-Time Training Resource Specialist, you will have the pleasure of planning, conducting, and measuring our internal staff development initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will assist with new hire training, ensuring that every team member is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their positions. You will review and test policies and procedures, helping to maintain a high standard of operational excellence. Additionally, you will provide essential support to various departments, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that enhances our overall customer service and satisfaction. Your efforts will directly contribute to cultivating a knowledgeable and capable workforce dedicated to serving our members with excellence.

What we're looking for in a Training Resource Specialist

To thrive as a Training Resource Specialist at SC State Credit Union, a diverse skill set is essential. You should possess strong communication abilities to effectively train new and existing employees on credit union policies, procedures, and essential job functions. Familiarity with instructional design is crucial; you will assist in developing lesson plans, job aides, training manuals and reference materials that foster a clear understanding of processes.

Strong analytical skills will be key as you engage in extensive testing of system upgrades, special projects, and implementations, ensuring seamless transitions and enhancements. Additionally, you must provide exceptional support to employees regarding teller and customer service-related processes, demonstrating a customer-centric approach that aligns with our core values. Your proactive attitude and commitment to excellence will empower your colleagues, making a lasting impact on the organization and its members.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Train new and existing employees on credit union policies, procedures, and essential job functions.
  • Assist in the development of lesson plans for training manuals and reference materials.
  • Assist in extensive testing of system upgrades, special projects. and implementations.
  • Provide support to employees regarding teller and customer service related processes.

A college degree with two years' experience in development and training, or experience working in customer or member service within a credit union is preferred. Extensive experience in Teller, Head Teller, or customer service functions in a bank or credit union may be substituted for a degree.
