Job Title: Site Superintendent-Single Family

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and deadline-driven Construction Superintendent to oversee the field operations for our single-family home developments and provide support across multi-residential apartment construction projects. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on field operations, team management, site safety, and efficient project delivery.
1. Field Operations & Execution – 40%

Lead day-to-day site operations for single-family projects

Support multi-family project execution as needed

Ensure materials, labor, inspections, and equipment align with project schedules and budgets

Troubleshoot site issues and maintain efficient site logistics
2. Leadership & Team Development – 25%

Supervise foremen, team leads, and subcontractors
-
Mentor and train field personnel; conduct performance evaluations
-
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment
3. Safety & Quality Control – 20%

Maintain and enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards

Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections

Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and construction quality
4. Communication & Documentation – 15%

Maintain daily logs, punch lists, DNR reports, equipment logs, etc.

Report progress to Project Managers and internal teams
- Participate in project meetings and ensure transparency across departments

Take full ownership of field activities for assigned single-family and multi-residential sites

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

Enforce compliance with plans, specs, safety standards, and timelines

Participate in jobsite walks, punch lists, close-out processes, and inspections

Support estimating and business development during preconstruction/bidding as needed
- Provide regular feedback on construction processes for continued improvement
Education & Experience
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction leadership role
-
3 years of proven supervisory or team leadership experience
-
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from job sites

OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, including the ability to interpret and ensure code compliance for single-family homes and multi-residential projects

In-depth understanding of construction quality control practices, site inspections, and proper documentation

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications

Experience with construction scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of safe operating practices for construction equipment and ability to identify maintenance issues

Strong planning and organizational skills, including design execution, resource allocation, and contingency planning

Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment
Preferred:

Advanced degree in Construction Management or related field

8 years of superintendent-level experience in residential or commercial construction

Certifications in Telehandler and/or Aerial/Boom Lift Operation

CPR/First Aid certified
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 10 hours/day)

Comfortable working on multi-story buildings and active construction sites

Regular 45–50 hour work week, with flexibility to work extended hours when required
Work Environment
This position is based on active construction sites and involves exposure to a variety of weather conditions. The role may include working in dusty, noisy environments and navigating uneven terrain or incomplete structures. Candidate must be comfortable working on multi-story buildings and maintaining safety compliance in all conditions.
