Job Description
SC Wake (Sacksteder’s Custom Wake) is located in New Trenton, IN specializing in custom marine and boating accessories. We are an authorized dealer and certified fabricator of SeaDek Marine Products which offers non-skid boat flooring. SeaDek non-skid flooring can also be used on spas, kayak floors, pool decking, homes, recreational vehicles and so much more! We design, create and manufacture right out of our shop. We have certified installers throughout OH, IL, MI, KY, TN, IN and AZ.
Position Details
A Shop Technician in our New Trenton, IN manufacturing facility is responsible for participating in all aspects of maintenance in a CNC Machining area, conducting inspections and general weekly maintenance. Technician will also be responsible for all shipping and receiving, updating information via computer, digitizing templates sent in on by installers and customers as well as general shop cleanliness. This individual will be in charge of making sure production flow remains undisturbed following an Order of Operations. Shop Technician must be highly motivated, responsible, clean, hard-working, reliable and able to perform daily tasks. Positive attitude and willingness to learn are key in this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Checks equipment on a regular basis following daily, monthly, and annual maintenance routines for major equipment.
- Digitizing template files sent in by installers and end users
- Runs CNC Machine.
- Printing and Checking CAD files and checking with original templates.
- Shipping/Receiving material, templates, general packages
- Inventory of materials needed to run.
- General Shop cleaning
- Inputting work orders and customer information sheets into CRM database
- Packages parts for shipment.
- Operates a forklift as needed to move material.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Entry-level
- must be able to lift and move material up to 100 lbs
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to work in a highly responsive manner and ensure production schedules are met.
- Basic Computer skills
- Desire and ability to learn how to operate CNC Machine and run daily, weekly, monthly maintenance.
- Ability to receive shipment and organize material as necessary
- Ability to communicate on a technical level to installers over the phone
- Visual acuity necessary for detailed CAD drawing (Dryfit) inspections
- Ability to follow written work instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
