Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee the on-site business office personnel, ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Insurance verification, scheduling of surgical procedures, and transcription of operative procedures.
- Billing/coding/implant logs and pathology reports coordination with coder and biller.
- Monitoring on-site business office timesheets for payroll reporting and troubleshooting computer issues and security.
- Coordinating activities with other departments and participating in maintaining qualified personnel.
- Environmental control of area and promoting a favorable image of the facility to physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
- Ensuring patient privacy protection and contributing to the progress and development of the organization's adopted compliance program.
- Overseeing scheduling tasks to maintain efficient patient flow and working closely with clinical supervisors.
- Monitoring physician block time and making recommendations for effective utilization.
- Scheduling for compliance with facility policies and procedures and serving as a positive liaison with physicians and their office personnel.
- Backup scheduling and oversight of medical record maintenance to ensure timely dispensation of completed charts, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Two years of medical facility or medical business office experience.
- Supervisory experience, ASC, and strong accounting background in a medically related environment preferred.
