- The incumbent manages and executes the hospital’s needs and resources related to medical staff credentialing processes in accordance with established federal, state and applicable accreditation agency regulations, corporate and hospital policies and procedures, while maintaining internal controls and protecting the hospital’s assets.
- The credentialing coordinator works closely with the hospital leadership to ensure the proper credentialing of physicians, allied health practitioners while managing clinical affiliations with the medical staff.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in credentialing, regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards related to medical staff and allied health credentialing services.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years related credentialing experience required.
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification, or a related certification, preferred.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment desired.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes.
- Microsoft Office proficiency preferred, incl.: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
