As a key member of the Business Office team, you will be responsible for processing refunds and initiating insurance check refunds requests in the Accounts Payable system. You will also send overpayment letters to carriers that have overpaid per contract and review and validate written requests received from insurances.
Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to overpayments or refunds. Additionally, you will calculate and verify expected pay based on contractual allowances for multiple payers and document all work performed in the patient accounting system.
