Responsibilities
The Manager Identity & Access Management is a hands-on position responsible for overseeing the identity & access engineering function and key controls related to the IT production environment. This includes managing a team of identity & access professionals, participating in engineering, automation, control design, and effectiveness related to the access control environment. This role ensures IT controls are designed to properly mitigate risks and that appropriate documentation is maintained. Providing oversight and direction to teammates and managed service providers will be part of this role.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager Identity & Access Management and participates in discussions related to access with various teams and departments throughout the enterprise. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure any new controls or changes in risk levels identified are documented and prioritized according to the needs of the business. This aligns projects with the greater goals of Information Technology and the organization.
Interaction with SCA leaders across the enterprise will be a requirement of this position, and therefore, this individual must be comfortable working with various levels of management. The successful candidate will work independently, making informed suggestions/decisions based on established policies, procedures, and business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identity & Access Team: Coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for the daily activities of the Team, Structure and leads strategic projects, guides these projects to completion, trains/mentors other Teammates, ensures Teammates follow prescribed processes, direct oversight for the work-product and development of assigned Teammates, conducting performance reviews and providing coaching to team members.
- System Management: Provides oversight of systems utilized by the team for maintenance, ensures system patches and version updates are applied promptly.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seeks ways to improve the Identity & Access Management Engineering process, automating processes to increase efficiency and improve user experience, gets feedback from stakeholders and implements improvements based on them.
- User Access Reviews: Collaboration with the IT Risk & Compliance team and others in the enterprise to ensure access is validated and inappropriate access is removed, identification of ways for continuous improvement of the process and end-user experience.
- Audits: Collaboration with IT teams to obtain requested information, follow-ups for remediation of access items identified as risky or out of compliance.
- Managed Services: Provides direction to the third parties who provide our company with assistance in areas of identity & access engineers and developers, assessing the performance of the managed services and providing feedback to them, assessing any new managed services and renewals.
Must have experience in PAM (Privileged Access Management).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related business discipline, or commensurate experience.
- 5 years of Information Technology or other relevant experience.
- 3 years of experience with an enterprise-level Identity & Access Management function.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong leadership skills including conflict/issue resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through writing with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Ability to work effectively with project resources across multiple departments.
- Previous experience in a related managerial role is a plus.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISM, vendor-specific, etc.).
