The Microbiology Analyst I will be responsible for supporting the Microbiology Department with data processing/entry in addition to performing Environmental Microbiological testing and/or Filtration Testing in addition to daily housekeeping of the laboratory.

Summary:
The Microbiology Analyst I will be responsible for supporting the Microbiology Department with data processing/entry in addition to performing Environmental Microbiological testing and/or Filtration Testing in addition to daily housekeeping of the laboratory.
Essential functions:
- May include a combination of the following:
- Assisting with and performing membrane filtration for sterility testing
- Performing environmental monitoring, including Viable Surface, Viable Air, and Particulate Testing
- Performing endotoxin testing
- Maintain daily logs.
- Maintain and file proper documentation.
- Perform sample plate enumeration.
- Perform media fill reads.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory inventory.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Perform laboratory cleaning.
- Perform biohazard bin removal.
- Ensure GMP compliance in all activities performed.
- Perform other additional job-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (in life sciences)
- Laboratory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to achieve and maintain gowning qualification and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to communicate and work with team members in an effective manner.
- Ability to work independently on scientific projects.
- Scientific technical writing ability including authoring and revising SOPs or technical reports.
