Summary :
The Microbiology Prep Technician will be responsible for sanitizing sterility samples and materials required for sterility testing prior to them entering the microbiology cleanroom. The position will also ensure that the detail, scheduling, and methods of cleaning are sufficient according to the standard operating procedures to protect the samples, materials, and clean room environment from the introduction of microbial contamination. The Microbiology Prep Technician will also be responsible for other laboratory support tasks such as, but not limited to, data trending and filing.

Essential functions :
- Choose appropriate sanitization materials and perform material cleaning in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
- Wipe all material surfaces as directed following appropriate procedures to ensure complete sanitization.
- Transfer materials during sanitization processes, one tote at a time, to a clean, sanitized tote
- Document contact time using proper forms and other information as required.
- Perform transcription of environmental monitoring data into excel spreadsheets.
- Perform filing of laboratory paper documents.
