Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Infant and Toddler Floater to join our early childhood education team. This role is essential in providing support across various classrooms, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments while fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere for learning.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with infants and toddlers in various classroom settings.
  • Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programs.
  • Provide individualized attention to children, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment conducive to learning.
  • Support children during transitions between activities, ensuring smooth operations throughout the day.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
  • Observe children's behavior and development, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.

Skills

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children or in childcare settings.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to provide infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • First aid certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members.
  • A nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children.
