Job Title: Record Center Specialist
Work Schedule:
- Standard Schedule: 5 days a week, 9 hours per day, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
Job Summary:
Record Center Specialists are responsible for processing orders and handling physical materials, including files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other items. This role requires significant physical activity, including manual lifting, carrying, and organizing of boxes. Employees must perform tasks such as operating hand trucks and pallet jacks while navigating uneven or concrete surfaces.
Job Requirements:
- Lift and carry boxes weighing 10-100 lbs regularly without assistance.
- Safely load and operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools.
- Stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, squat, and twist for extended periods.
- Read and write in English.
- Operate handheld scanners and track orders using proprietary software.
- Navigate stairs, inclines, and uneven walking surfaces while carrying boxes.
- Balance and climb ladders as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Material Handling: Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes up to 100 lbs independently.
- Order Processing: Use technology to track orders and determine box locations.
- Inventory Management: Read labels, process incoming/outgoing orders, and inform relevant personnel about inventory statuses.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other tools for efficient material handling.
- Palletizing: Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
- Loading/Unloading: Load boxes onto pallets and manually transfer pallets to trucks.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform repetitive physical activities for long durations.
- Experience with material handling equipment (preferred).
- Basic computer skills for tracking and processing orders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
