INTEGRATED MEDIA LEAD

The Scale Marketing Integrated Media Lead is the leader of our traditional and digital buying teams responsible for planning, building, negotiating, and executing cross-channel media plans (Programmatic Video / Display / Audio / CTV, Television, Radio, and Out-of-Home media buys). You will oversee all buys (nothing goes out the door without your approval), execute buys for key clients (player / coach role), structure enterprise relationships for the agency, and assist with new business. As a direct manager of the team, you will lead the evolution of our media planning / buying process, tools, and outcomes.

The Integrated Media Lead will :

  • Work with client strategy teams to collaborate on all media decisions for agency clients
  • Directly Manage a team of digital and traditional media SME’s
  • Establish cross-functional knowledge / growth across the team to strengthen omnichannel departmental expertise
  • Sign off on all media buys to make sure they are to your liking, consistent with Scale’s buying philosophy (which you will help inform / evolve), and as negotiated as possible to maintain CPM’s that are leading the market
  • Works alongside Media Operations Specialist to monitor buys in progress, make sure timelines are met and that all active buys are delivering in full and performing to expectations
  • Works with Media Planning to research and maintain a record of trends, innovations, and changes that affect media buying
  • Provides new and profitable ideas to grow clients’ business through creative media tactics
  • Drives the team to innovative media executions and improved media outcomes
  • Act as a media thought leader internally and externally
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15 years of experience putting together both local and national cross-media strategies supported by rationale and research either within a marketing organization or at a full-service Agency.
  • Performance-oriented thought process and experience optimizing media campaigns to drive specific business outcomes (lead generation / ROAS KPIs preferred)
  • Experience planning, negotiating, and buying multiple media channels / multiple markets with emphasis on audio, video, and out-of-home
  • Team Management / Building Experience
  • Data-driven negotiation skills
  • Experience managing substantial budgets and financials
  • Client-facing experience
  • Professional written / verbal communication / critical thinking skills
  • Solid understanding of metrics, industry trends / benchmarks
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Nielsen, SQAD, Scarborough, and other media / ratings research tools
  • Proficient in Mediaocean
  • A drive, passion, and innate curiosity for the advertising business
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously
  • Team player but also independent know-how
  • Desire to increase media knowledge across multiple channels
