The Role:
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to expand our brand’s footprint across wine and spirits distributors (Southern Glazer’s, RNDC) and food & beverage distributors (UNFI, KeHE). You will also leverage your relationships with regional and national grocery chains to drive retail expansion and maximize market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor Management: Build and manage relationships with major wine & spirits distributors (Southern Glazer’s, RNDC) and food & beverage distributors (UNFI, KeHE) to drive sales and brand visibility.
- Retail Expansion: Leverage existing relationships with regional and national grocery chains to secure and grow shelf space.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company goals, driving revenue and market share.
- Account Management: Negotiate contracts, promotional plans, and trade spend to optimize brand presence and sales performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful product launches, promotions, and supply chain efficiency.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Potential to build and lead a high-performing sales team as the company continues to scale.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7 years of sales experience in the beverage industry (preferably in Better-For-You, Alcohol, or Non-Alcoholic categories).
- Proven success managing both alcohol (wine/spirits) and food/beverage distributors.
- Established relationships with Southern Glazer’s, RNDC, UNFI, and KeHE.
- Strong connections with regional and national grocery retailers.
- Experience negotiating and executing distributor and retail sales programs.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to sales.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
