Experienced Outside Salesperson
Scallon Controls has an opening in Outside Sales. This position deals directly with our customers to assist them in solving problems on a daily basis.
We are looking for an experienced candidate who can work both independently and as part of a team, possess good organizational skills, has critical thinking capabilities, and has the innate drive to be the best at what they do.
The ideal candidate needs experience in sales (Industrial sales preferred), to be a self-starter with personal accountability, an entrepreneurial spirit, and technical acumen. Knowledge of control valves, isolations valves, pressure relief valves, and field instrumentation is a plus as well. A college degree is preferred, specifically in a Business or Engineering discipline. Equivalent experience in the Process Industry or Industrial Sales may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Job Description :
- Responsible for sales growth through the application of multiple product lines, service capabilities, project execution, and engineering services.
- Responsible for business growth and development at established and new customer accounts
- Coordinate with principals and to support and promote both existing and new product lines
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with customers, principals, and subject matter experts resulting in better service to our customers
- Responsible for initial project identification, qualification, and the ability to serve as a project pursuit team lead
- Development of Sales Plans for all accounts
- Collaborate with sales management and business unit leadership on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.
- Development of quantifiable business results-based example of success stories with customers
- Conduct product / service-based seminars focused on existing and new product lines or service capabilities.
- Develop applications knowledge of all product lines and how they fit in to the different needs of customers
- Expected to be the point person for the needs of assigned customers and exhibit the ability to service those needs in an efficient and effective manner

Equivalent experience accepted : 1-5 years of experience in Industrial Sales or Process Control Units
Graduates of Naval Nuclear Power School meet the experience requirement
Prior Business Development experience is a plus
