The Job
In this role you will ensure optimal system performance, address scalability issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to help SCAN achieve breakthrough performance in its mission of keeping seniors healthy and independent. The successful candidate will bring expertise in Snowflake administration, familiarity with Azure, and administrative experience with one or more of the following at an enterprise level: Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.
You Will
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Enterprise Data & Analytics applications including resolution of technical issues/questions, monitoring uptime and performance, and user licensing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Provide on-call support and handle out-of-band requests.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, i.e. run books, job aids, test plans, etc.
- Develop automation tasks using scripting languages like Python.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Snowflake Administration:
- Manage and maintain SCAN’s Snowflake environment, including monitoring usage, resolving issues, and proactive optimization.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize queries, configurations, and system resources to optimize speed and scalability while practicing FinOps best practices.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce role-based access controls and compliance standards for secure and compliant operations.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts to automate routine maintenance, monitoring, and data integration tasks.
BI Tools Administration:
- Administer and deploy pipelines on one or more of the following applications: Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau
- Serve as a liaison to vendors for matters related to licensing, patches, upgrades, security, etc., including managing and execution of batch jobs and file transfers.
- Maintain security on all systems via user access management and creating security groups.
Your Qualifications
- Preferred Certifications or Licenses: SnowPro Core certification or SnowPro Advanced: Administrator certification a plus
- Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting/visualization platforms
- 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence with a focus on Administration
- 2 years’ experience in SQL/Query languages to perform data analysis
- 2 years’ experience with Snowflake and 2 years’ experience with two of the following Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more BI tools (Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau)
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks preferred
