The Job
The Communications Specialist (Internal Communication Specialist) provides project management assistance, digital production support, and copy writing/editing for the Internal Communications team in support of SCAN goals, initiatives, and employee campaigns.
You Will
The Internal Communications Specialist writes various communication deliverables for SCAN employees.
Works with Internal Communication team and clients to provide copy editing, Viva page content, content creation, and other defined deliverables including but not limited to: emails, newsletter articles, digital signs, tickers, screensavers, flyers, publications, videos and other communication collateral.
Assures messaging is consistent with SCAN’s mission, voice, organizational values and DEIB standards as well as in the editorial style and graphic design standards defined by SCAN.
Collaborates with communication colleagues on org-wide projects, campaigns and initiatives; helps to ensure deadlines, goals, and timelines are being met.
The Internal Communications Specialist reports updates and progress regularly to the Director of Internal Communications.
Provides digital production support for Internal Communication projects, including but not limited to Insights videos, office-toks, and other digital/video content for employees.
Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related fields preferred
- Previous Communications, Marketing, Public Relations experience
- Previous Project/Program Management experience
- Experience with content creation, digital content, editing, and client services strongly preferred
- Strong writing skills, familiarity with Associate Press (AP) style writing
- Experience with planning and hosting company events
- Occasional driving as needed for filming, events, etc.
