The Job
As a key member of the Enterprise Analytics team, you will collaborate with internal clients to develop and maintain reports and dashboards that drive healthcare service improvements and mitigate risks. You will manage, transform, and analyze data to ensure compliance, identify performance outliers, detect fraud, and support data-driven decision-making, while leading projects using agile methodologies and project management tools like Azure DevOps.
You Will
- Collaborate with internal clients to develop and maintain reports and dashboards
- Manage, clean, and transform data for analysis and reporting
- Perform complex data analysis to identify performance outliers, fraud, waste, and compliance issues
- Create ad-hoc and routine reports to monitor healthcare service performance and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement reporting solutions to detect and mitigate risks, including FWA and system deficiencies
- Ensure data quality and audit data processes for accuracy and reliability
- Lead and project manage initiatives using agile methodologies, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet stakeholder expectations
- Mentor junior colleagues to strengthen the team’s analytical capabilities
- Maintain and support compliance reporting, ensuring timely submission to internal and external agencies
- Monitor data analytics activities with vendors and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Stay current with industry regulations and healthcare data standards to ensure effective risk management
- Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision, Goals, and Ways of Working
- Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems-related field, or equivalent work experience, required
- Master’s degree in an analytic related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in developing complex reports
- 1 to 2 years of Healthcare industry experience is required
- Experience with machine learning and AI concepts a plus
- Advanced proficiency in data automation and analytics tools (SQL, Alteryx, R, Python)
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, fraud detection, and risk management in healthcare
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in health plan operations, claims, and encounter data
- Familiarity with CMS regulations (Part C, Part D, SNP), DHCS, and Medi-Cal
- Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server tools (T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS)
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong technical knowledge in database design and query development
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical codes (ICD, CPT)
- Experience with project management methodologies, including agile, and proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps
