The Job
Responsible for leading and directing the sales organization to meet sales targets and budgetary objectives. Develops and executes strategic and operational plans, including budget preparation. Responsible for compliance oversight and adherence.
You Will
Creates and executes operational plans to achieve business objectives. Develops and achieves sales projections. Develops and monitors key performance indicators and quickly implements interventions. Applies financial discipline to budgetary activities; maximizes cost and quality opportunities.
Continually improves the effectiveness of the sales organization through ongoing process improvement. Researches, documents, and implements best practices, including leveraging technology to improve the quality and efficiency of sales operations.
Motivates staff and ensures they are equipped with the training, tools, incentives, and system support to be successful. Ensures sales programs are 100% compliant with regulatory requirements.
Oversees sales team focused on membership growth across SCAN’s target markets. Identifies strategic opportunities within key communities and facilitates relationships with stakeholders to drive membership growth. Develops sales strategies and proposals to expand SCAN’s presence and market share.
Collaborates with internal and external partners to execute strategic growth objectives. Leads sales initiatives that align with marketing efforts to attract new membership and enhance brand awareness.
Creates and fosters strong working relationships with colleagues, contracted providers, community partners, local businesses, and other key stakeholders.
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Collaborates cross-functionally across internal and external channels to deliver on enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic alignment.
Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities and results, applying lessons learned to SCAN’s sales initiatives.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Travel 50-75% of the time in the assigned area. Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field. A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered.
- 10-15 years of Medicare Advantage sales experience required.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Experience in managed care and a deep understanding of Medicare Advantage sales and distribution strategies.
- Executive-level interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking skills to facilitate the development and delivery of new products and services to seniors and the community.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills; commitment to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time in the assigned area. Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
