The Job
The Senior Director, Talent Development will be accountable for the development and implementation of training strategies, programs, and processes to support organizational goals. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, Compliance training, Clinical training and Management training and development. This position will oversee the training function, as well as manage training staff.
You Will
- Develops, implements and directs talent programs, policies and procedures to improve employee retention, engagement and participation, drawing upon knowledge of instructional design theory and adult learning theory to ensure success.
- Manages performance appraisal process and confers with senior leaders and supervisors to guide and assist them in talent matters.
- Creates talent tools, resources, training and materials, such as onboarding content, deployment of both web-based and instructor-led courses, and performance management communications for all employees.
- Informs supervisors of training and career development opportunities, succession planning and internal transfers that are available for their teams.
- Runs clinical training & training programs from our member services organization.
- Defines operational metrics for employee engagement, workforce management, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Ensures the creation and completion of employee development programs for key talent.
- Manages the overall training budget to ensure planned programs remain within the budget parameters.
- Monitors external trends which could impact talent.
- Actively supports the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
