What You'll Do
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in improving manufacturing processes and reducing non-conformance. This position involves evaluating non-conformance trends, prioritizing improvement projects, conducting process audits, and developing enhancements to reduce process variability. Additionally, the Quality Technician will manage and maintain third-party accreditations, including ISO certifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Data Analysis & Improvement: Analyze internal and external quality data to identify systemic issues and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality using problem-solving techniques.
- Quality Metrics: Develop and publish quality metrics to track and measure process improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to identify root causes of issues and develop improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain operating procedures, work instructions, and quality documents such as Quality Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, ISO procedures, PPAP, and Control Plans.
- Customer Liaison: Act as a point of contact for resolving customer issues, both internal and external. Investigate customer complaints, develop corrective action plans, and verify their effectiveness.
- Training & Education: Coordinate and participate in training and education efforts related to manufacturing processes critical for non-conformance reduction.
- Document Control: Manage the document control process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing processes, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Audits: Perform internal and supplier audits; support preparations for ISO audits.
- RMA Management: Oversee the RMA area, issue reports, and ensure proper management.
- Calibration Coordination: Coordinate the calibration of measuring equipment to maintain accuracy.
- New Product Verification: Conduct first-time process verifications for new products to ensure they meet specifications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Educational Background: Associate’s degree in industrial, Quality, or Manufacturing is preferred; related experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in performing complex inspections, tests, and analyses using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships across all departments and levels of the organization.
- Integrity & Leadership: Exhibit a high level of integrity and commitment, with natural leadership qualities and the initiative to address and overcome obstacles.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Customer Service Orientation: Focus on understanding and resolving customer issues with quick, effective solutions that benefit both the customer and the company.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledgeable about manufacturing processes and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Measurement Proficiency: Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers. Ability to understand measurements related to tolerances on engineering drawings.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Methodologies: Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and 6S methodologies is preferred.
- ERP & Quality Management: Experience with ERP systems and Quality Management Systems is preferred.
- CMM Operation: Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is preferred.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
