What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dermatology surgical medical assistant position at Scannon Dermatology?
```Duties```
- Assist dermatologists in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs
- Administer medications as directed by dermatologists
- Assist with MOH's surgical procedures, including wound care and suture removal
- Educate patients on proper skincare routines and post-treatment care
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
```Requirements```
- Proficiency in medication administration
- Knowledge of EMR systems. Preferably Modernizing Medicine.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in a hospital or medical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining patient records
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
